Every year on the Saturday of Mother’s Day weekend, the Watch City Steampunk Festival attracts thousands of people from the New England Area to downtown Waltham for a day of free Steampunk-themed family fun and entertainment, centered on Waltham Common. In order to make the event a success, we ask for sponsorship support from businesses and individuals such as you. By sponsoring this annual event you’ll be supporting and associating your brand with the Watch City Steampunk Festival, helping to raise the profile of and bring additional tourism to Waltham, and helping us to give back to the community that helps us to host this event each year.
Steampunk refers to a blend of the Victorian era and science fiction whimsy. What did the Victorians think the future would look like, and what if that’s the future that came to pass, where everything H. G. Wells and Jules Verne dreamed of came true? The thousands of attendees at our festival are a mix of Steampunk aficionados and local residents who are looking for unique entertainment and shopping opportunities. Sponsors and advertisers are not required to adhere to our theme, but are certainly encouraged to.
