Hello, Citizens of Watch City! How was your summer? Now that fall is nearing, it’s time to start thinking about early plans for next year’s Watch City Steampunk Festival! The event will be held Saturday, May 11th, 2019, which is once again the Saturday of Mother’s Day weekend.
The Charles River Mad Scientists’ League, a local organization secretly headquartered in a lair beneath the Charles River Museum of Industry and Innovation, has issued the following challenge to the leadership of Watch City, demanding investment the scientific community (mad or otherwise)!
In response, we are pleased to announce that this coming Watch City Steampunk Festival will feature a Mad Science Exhibition! On Festival day 2019, makers, inventors, artists, engineers, hobbyists, and crackpots of all sorts will exhibit their most astonishing creations on Waltham Common. The most impressive among them will be awarded prizes! Learn more about it and enter your invention on our website: https://www.watchcityfestival.com/for-science/
Bonus points will be given to anyone whose weather machine produces perfect festival weather on May 11th!

Mrs. Hawking Makes Progress
The Mrs. Hawking series is soon to be debuting its fifth installment, Mrs. Frost, at Arisia 2019 this January, in preparation for the reprise of parts 4 and 5 at Watch City in May. This newest episode pits Mrs. Hawking against her own personal Moriarty in an epic face-off of hero and villain. Additionally, Mrs. Hawking wrapped filming on its very first cinematic project, a proof of concept for a television series, in summer 2018. The film is now in post production in preparation for a planned winter debut.
